Hi there, I’m Didi Chang-Park, a PhD candidate at Cornell in the Department of Comparative Literature. This blog started off as a way for me to share brief close readings of poems, or to simply to mark down my appreciation for them, but it has since become a place to draft notes on various texts and to reflect on my research as I attempt to write a dissertation. It also represents a concerted effort to share writing that is less formed or more spontaneously written. In order to keep this site alive, I have told myself not to write with as much circumspection, though the goal is still to produce writing that might be readable and useful for my future self and others.
